Early Childhood Music Programs & Once-Off Incursions

for Melbourne Early Learning Centres

Hands-on, play-filled, and brain-loving
interactive sessions designed for children aged 0 - 5 years.

Choose from once-off incursions or an ongoing weekly music program.

Our research-backed early childhood music program is designed to ignite your children’s love of learning and equip them with lifelong skills in communication, self-regulation, and so much more.

Plus they’re enriching not just for your children but for your staff too. We share insights with your centre educators to encourage interaction and play in your centre well beyond our sessions.

Sounds Like This is intentional, engaging, and allows children the opportunity to practice and repeat their musical skills … We have seen educators’ confidence flourish and they are now using music in their everyday practices with children. Children that never used to engage in whole group experiences are now eager to be a part of the group. We have also had immense positive feedback from families expressing how their children go home and share music with their families.
— Zoe Haigh: Pre-Pre co-ordinator at Hope Early Learning Centres

An in-house early childhood music program that’s research-backed, play-based, and a tonne of fun.

Our experienced early childhood music teachers use song, movement, storytelling, instrumental play and props, to help your children:

  • gain confidence while being creative and expressive

  • positively build on the relationship with their carer

  • enhance their cognitive development

  • expand their language development

  • encourage and reinforce coordination through fine and gross motor movement (through age-appropriate movement)

  • encourage cross-hemispheric development and engagement

  • build on social and emotional skills

  • extend verbal and non-verbal communications skills

This is how we make music

Vocal exploration and active listening

We sing mostly without accompaniment (and always without synthetic music). Our singing is pitched for preschoolers’ growing vocal anatomy so their voices are protected and they can learn to sing tunefully and beautifully.

Beautiful quality instruments

Percussion instruments help us to explore beat, pitch, rhythm, and timbre. We might even bring ukuleles, flutes, clarinets, violins, and other quality tuned instruments for your children to explore.

Supporting your centre

Our early childhood or kindergarten music program can be themed to support your centre’s other learning streams and topics. We’re passionate about making these sessions empowering and educational for staff members too.

We can tailor classes to a number of age groups, such as babies only, toddlers only, kindergarten kiddos, and mixed-age sessions.

Each class runs for 30 or 40 minutes

Minimum class size of 3 children and a maximum of 23.

Our teachers can present multiple sessions up to 4 hours in a single booking.
